Deepen your experience of Buddhist culture by learning traditional Buddhist etiquette - 108 prostrations and meditation

Myogaksa Temple is located in the heart of Seoul and serves as the headquarters of the Avalokitesvara sect of Buddhism. Established in 1930, it has undergone two renovations since its founding. It's said that the temple's current location was chosen based on feng shui principles, and it has since blessed Seoul with peace and stability. It was designated as a traditional Buddhist temple for the 2002 FIFA World Cup, offering a traditional Buddhist experience right in the heart of the city, attracting many tourists.

[108 Bows]
The 108 Bows is a traditional practice of kneeling down. Buddhism believes that people have 108 kinds of troubles, and bowing 108 times symbolizes the complete elimination of all troubles and the fulfillment of repentance. This practice is currently a very popular health regimen in Korea! It doesn't require any special time or money to learn, and no special props are needed. All you need is 0.5 pyeong (1.5 pyeong) of space to kneel and perform 108 bows. Experiencing 108 bows in a temple offers a unique experience.

[Temple Life Experience]
Learn temple etiquette, dining etiquette, meditation, and tea ceremony with the monks. Learn the wisdom of this ancient traditional culture through conversations with the monks.
