- Introduction to the Keelung Ghost Festival Water Lantern Festival-

Water lanterns are a form of paper-pasted art. Made from bamboo strips and paper, they resemble exquisite, fully furnished miniature houses. They serve as a resting place (actually a villa) for friends before participating in the Ghost Festival, and also as invitations to fellow water-dwellers.

After burning, they are sent out to sea, not only to attract the wandering souls of the sea, but also as an invitation, demonstrating the sincerity of the invitation through the intricately crafted paper houses. As the fireworks exploded, everyone on the beach looked up in admiration, wishing the event a successful and successful outcome. Keelung people believe that the farther the water lantern floats, the better the fortune of the family name, and even at high tide, they strive to push it out to sea.

Travel Notes

- During the day's itinerary, you'll board a free shuttle bus to Wanghai Lane for the Keelung Ghost Festival water lantern event. The tour will conclude at Wanghai Lane, not the original meeting point. Shuttle services will be available after the event, but transportation details will be announced later.
- Round-trip shuttle service from Taipei is available. Please visit the event page to register.
- It is recommended to have dinner before the Keelung Ghost Festival water lantern event. A local food guide will be provided to make your trip even more fulfilling.
- Due to street closures and traffic restrictions on the day of the Keelung Ghost Festival water lantern event, it is recommended to arrive early by public transportation to avoid traffic jams.
- We recommend that travelers traveling from other counties arrive in Keelung early at noon for some delicious snacks. After a half-day stroll, you can enjoy the evening Keelung Ghost Festival water lantern festival.

Cancellation Clauses

Cancellations made 7 days prior to the start of the trip will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made 4-6 days (including the 6th day) prior to the start of the trip will incur a 30% handling fee.

Cancellations made 1-3 days (including the 3rd day) prior to the start of the trip will not receive a refund.

Cancellations made on the start date of the trip will not receive a refund.

If the event is affected by force majeure (e.g., typhoon warnings, heavy rain alerts, etc.), the organizer will determine whether to cancel the event. A refund will be issued to the original payment method after deducting necessary expenses.

Rescheduling due to personal reasons will be deemed a cancellation and will be handled in accordance with the above cancellation policy.

If participation is terminated during the event due to reasons not attributable to the organizer, no refund will be given.
