▲ Yilan-Daxi Station
Daxi Station, located in Toucheng Township, Yilan County, is a shuttle station where only local trains stop. However, it's a favorite station for rail enthusiasts on the Northeast Coast. It offers expansive ocean views. The bay outside the station is a secret surfer's paradise, nicknamed Honeymoon Bay (approximately a 15-minute walk).
※Since Daxi Station doesn't offer train stops, after your trip, you'll need to transfer to local train No. 4148 to Toucheng Station (9:26-9:39 AM), then transfer to a cruise-style train to continue your journey. Please follow the staff's instructions and exercise caution.

▲ Hualien Sixty Stone Mountain Daylily Flower Season
In addition to Taimali in Taitung and Chike Mountain in Yuli, Hualien, Sixty Stone Mountain in Fuli, Hualien, is a must-see for the summer daylily season. According to locals, during the Japanese colonial period, the average yield of millet per hectare of paddy field was only about 40 to 50 dan (approximately 1.5 tonnes) of rice. However, the rice paddies in this area could produce 60 dan (approximately 1.5 tonnes) of rice, hence the name "Sixty-Dan (approximately 1.6 tonnes) Mountain." Another theory is that during the Japanese colonial period, this mountainous area was once a lush camphor forest, but it was cleared to produce camphor. Sixty large stones were discovered scattered across the bare hillside, leading to the name "Sixty-Dan (approximately 1.6 tonnes) Mountain.

Dapo Pond boasts a beautiful natural environment, rich in flora and fauna. In summer, visitors can admire the vibrant pink lotus blossoms that fill the pond. There are also walking and cycling trails around the lake, making Dapo Pond a beautiful and relaxing place.

Taiwan's first barn art museum, located in Chihshang, offers not only a glimpse into the beauty of art but also a glimpse into the local culture. The museum is housed in a 60-year-old barn donated by Liang Zhengxian, the former rice mill owner.
