For the Chatan Undersea Mailbox experience, you'll first meet in front of the Chatan Tourism Association. A shuttle bus will take you to the dive shop. After checking in at the dive shop, you'll change into your gear and receive an orientation. Then, your underwater mailbox experience begins! The experience lasts approximately one and a half hours, and afterward, you'll be able to disembark and change into your gear. You can then disembark and head to your next destination.

Okinawa Chatan's waters are also home to a rich variety of aquatic flora and fauna. A complete coral reef covers the entire dive site, and diverse fish species swim among the coral. Artificial mushroom-shaped reefs on the bottom of the water foster coral growth and serve as a haven for smaller fish. Be sure to keep an eye out while diving; schools of fish are constantly appearing, and a rich coral ecosystem is everywhere. Schools of snappers and flatfish are also abundant in the shallow reefs!
