Tour Overview

2020 Fuji Shibazakura Festival: One-person tour, the best time to visit Mount Fuji's 5th Station

In addition to Fuji Shibazakura, you can also enjoy the sky tulips

A healthy and delicious fresh vegetable lunch with a view of Mount Fuji, a top-notch experience

The 2020 Fuji Shibazakura Festival runs right after the cherry blossoms! The 2020 Fuji Shibazakura Festival marks the second half of April's cherry blossom season, with Fuji Shibazakura in full bloom from late April to May. The 2020 Fuji Shibazakura Festival is always packed, and with Chinese-speaking staff available, you can enjoy a relaxing day trip from Shinjuku.

Many people may mistake Shibazakura for a type of cherry blossom, but "Shiba" actually means grass in Japanese. These small, pink flowers resemble cherry blossoms and grow on the ground, earning them the name "Shibazakura." While admiring the pale pink cherry blossoms from above is more captivating, the vibrant colors of the Shibazakura blossoms blooming from the ground are even more breathtaking. The Shibazakura blooms about a week after the cherry blossoms. Located in Kawaguchiko Town at the foot of Mount Fuji, the Fuji Shibazakura field is filled with approximately 800,000 shrubs in five different varieties, including red and white! This is Japan's largest moss phlox viewing spot, attracting a constant stream of tourists year-round. The pink carpet of moss phlox blanketing the foothills of Mount Fuji, and the distant view of the lingering snow on Mount Fuji, is a truly memorable experience!

After admiring the magnificent view of Mount Fuji and moss phlox at 2,400 meters, lunchtime is specially prepared for you: a healthy vegetable flat noodle hot pot, a mountain vegetable rice pot, and fried vegetables. Enjoying a delicious meal with Mount Fuji as your backdrop is truly a true pleasure!

In addition to the 2020 Fuji Moss Phlox Festival, we'll also take you to the Mount Fuji Second Station to enjoy the Tulip Festival. The Mount Fuji Sky Tulip Festival takes place at Grinpa, 1,200 meters above sea level, at the Mount Fuji Second Station. With the World Heritage site of Mount Fuji as your backdrop, you can admire fields of up to 210,000 tulips.
