- Seasonal Recommendations | Xibao Sacred Trees in Simakus Town -

▲ Cherry Blossom Season
During the Simakus cherry blossom season, which runs from mid-February to the end of March, visitor numbers are typically limited, and advance permits are required. Popular spots for cherry blossom viewing are the cherry blossom tunnel in the middle section of the Giant Trees Trail and on either side of the Simakus Tribal Archway. This area attracts a large number of pilgrims each year, so planning your trip two months in advance is highly recommended!

- Attraction Introduction | Simakusi Zhenxibao Sacred Trees -

▲ Simakusi - God's Tribe
"Simakusi" is Taiwan's highest indigenous tribe (approximately 1,500 meters above sea level). Deep in the mountains, it faces inaccessible areas and long lacks electricity. Once known as the "Black Tribe," the area boasts rich ecological resources, particularly renowned for the magnificent Simakusi Great Lord Sacred Tree. Tourism has gradually developed, earning it the nickname "God's Tribe." A unique feature of the tribe is its shared property system, which is organized and operated through various responsible units. This system provides stable employment and free education for all members, a symbol of tribal unity and cooperation.

▲ Zhenxibao Sacred Trees - Home of the Sacred Trees
"Zhenxibao" in the Atayal language means "a place where the sun shines first in the morning, with abundant sunshine year-round and fertile soil." This is precisely what gives rise to the breathtaking Zhenxibao Sacred Trees. The path through the sacred trees in Area B is suitable for the general public. Near the trail in Area B, there are over 70 towering trees. The most well-known are the four sacred trees of Zhenxibao: King, Five Blessings, Adam, and Eve, named for their majestic height and unique forms. Walking along the paths of the sacred trees in Zhenxibao, filled with the rich aroma of phytoncides and red cypress, is a true spiritual and physical revitalizer.
