Added Value Offer 1: Mingfang Tea House
Tea House Introduction
・Mingfang Health Tea House is a century-old establishment in Pinglin (established in 1872). Founder Zhong Dou initially used the name Shuchun, which was later inherited by his eldest son, Zhong Rongfu, who dedicated himself to driving the economic growth of the tea industry at the time. In 1979, his son Zhong Shumu renamed the business Mingfang Tea House, which is now primarily run by family members, specializing in Baozhong tea. Having been deeply rooted in Pinglin through the Japanese colonial era, the company has inherited a century of history and culture, witnessing the opening of the Beiyi Highway. Zhong Shumu, a lifelong lover of tea, dedicated his life to exploring aged teas and researching various tea storage techniques. This earned Mingfang Tea House a reputation that even then-President Lee Teng-hui visited several times. Anyone visiting Pinglin must visit this place to immerse themselves in the rich culture of the tea-growing region!

After the Beiyi Highway was opened, the tea house relocated to its current location. Early tea suppliers in Taiwan were mostly located in northern Taiwan. Tea cultivation in southern Taiwan was not widespread at the time, so all tea for southern Taiwan was imported from Pinglin.
