Cape Hedo, located at the northernmost tip of Okinawa, is a cape stretching from north to south. Atop the cape lies a gentle plateau, and a walking trail offering scenic views takes only about 20 minutes, making it a perfect place for both the elderly and children to fully appreciate the beautiful Okinawa ocean. The stone monument on the cape was erected when the United States returned Okinawa to Japan in 1972. Inscribed on it are the words "Monument to the Struggle for the Return of Japan to the Motherland." This monument isn't meant to celebrate the return of Okinawa, but rather to remind people to never forget the martyrs who fought for their country!

Daisekirinyama was designated Yanbaru National Park in September 2016! Here, you can admire rare subtropical plants found only in this area, and walk along a path lined with unusually large rocks. From the observation deck, you can gaze out at the vast ocean. If you're lucky, you might even spot the Yanbaru rail, a natural monument. This place has been considered a sacred place since ancient times and is also famous as a power spot!

At Yui Yui Kunigami, Okinawa's northernmost Michi-no-Ryokan, you can enjoy shopping, dining, and free time. We recommend purchasing the "Pork and Tonkatsu Okinawa Ramen," a dish you can only find here! The rest area sells fresh local vegetables and fruits, as well as local teas like Karagi tea, available only here. Kunigami donuts, long a favorite among Japanese tourists, as well as seasonal fruit desserts and cookies, are also available only at the roadside station, YUIYUI Kunigami.
