Fulong SUP, the most popular water sport in northern Taiwan, is a year-round experience! Drift and paddle through winding, tranquil rivers, crossing beautiful arched bridges and suspension bridges. In summer, ascend the river to the Fulong Sand Sculpture Festival and admire the shimmering golden beaches. In spring and autumn, head upstream to catch trains and take photos, while watching the blooming flowers and flocks of migratory birds fly by. Experience a unique charm every season. Under the guidance of professional Fulong SUP instructors, even beginners can enjoy a safe and smooth ride! During your Fulong SUP experience, you'll also gain a deeper understanding of the rich ecology of the Shuangxi River estuary, including dragonflies, frogs, abundant fish, and birds like eagles soaring through the air.

Shuangxi River winds its way through coastal settlements and highways in the northeast corner of the country, forming a beautiful sandy inland riverscape in Fulong. The Rainbow Bridge and Shuangxi Suspension Bridge, spanning Shuangxi, create a picturesque scene with graceful arches and suspension bridges. Once an important birthplace of the Sandiao and Four-Community civilization of the Ketagalan people, it also served as a crucial passageway along the Tanlan Historic Trail during the founding of Yilan, a vital source of cultural heritage. This abundant and high-quality river still retains much of its natural, uncemented channel, offering not only a rich aquatic ecosystem and crystal-clear water, but also the idyllic summer scenery of dragonflies dancing, frogs croaking, insects chirping, and wild ginger blossoms.

Travel Notes

[ Booking Instructions ]
． The Fulong SUP Stand Up Paddleboarding experience is limited to 6 years of age and above. For safety and physical fitness reasons, children aged 6-18 must be accompanied by a parent at all times. Unaccompanied children will not be permitted to participate. School groups must obtain parental consent.
． Fulong SUP Stand Up Paddleboarding offers single-person per board or two-person per board. Single-person per boarders must be at least 13 years of age, and the combined weight of two-person per boarders must not exceed 150 kg. Please consider your physical fitness level.
． Please ensure you are in good health. Those with heart disease, high blood pressure, or pregnant women are not suitable for this experience and should not sign up for the New Taipei City Fulong SUP Stand Up Paddleboarding experience. Children aged 6-12 must board with an adult.
[ Group Instructions ]
． Each group consists of 6 people. If the group cannot complete the trip due to insufficient numbers, we will notify you at least 3 days in advance to reschedule, hold, or refund the trip.

The maximum number of people on the trip is 12 boards. Those exceeding the limit will depart as separate groups.

[ Itinerary Information ]

Pets are allowed on the board (small and medium-sized dogs only, fee applies), one per board. Please confirm your pet is water-resistant and bring your own life jacket. Those without a life jacket will not be allowed to participate.

For autumn and winter trips, those who are sensitive to cold weather can purchase and rent cold-weather clothing during booking and arrive at the meeting point early to pick it up and change into clothing.

The Fulong SUP Stand Up Paddleboarding Experience meeting time may be adjusted by half an hour depending on factors such as the season, number of people, and service quality. Any changes will be confirmed individually after registration and will be notified in the pre-trip notice.

Pre-trip information (including instructor contact information, meeting time, and location) will be sent to your email address 2-3 days prior to departure. After registration, we will primarily contact you via email, so please be sure to check for it.

The Fulong SUP paddling route will vary depending on the weather conditions and may involve paddling upstream or downstream.

The Fulong SUP paddling experience is an outdoor activity. To protect the natural environment, changing tents will be provided after the activity.

If the activity has already started and pre-trip training has been completed, and the group has already departed, no refunds will be given for guests who are unable to join or are absent due to delays in meeting up.

The Fulong SUP paddling experience schedule is subject to change based on participant availability, facility conditions, and weather conditions, with safety and overall quality as the highest priority.

If the Fulong SUP paddling experience is delayed due to sudden weather changes, safety concerns, or personal reasons, no refunds will be given.

Tour Pricing

The cost includes:

- Professional instructor and pre-trip guidance (based on a 1:6 instructor-to-board ratio)
- SUP (hardboard or inflatable), paddle, life jacket

The cost does not include:

There is no showering provided on site, only changing tents for changing into clean clothes.

Cancellation Clauses

Cancellations made 8 days prior to the start of the tour will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made 3-7 days prior to the start of the tour will incur a 30% handling fee.

Cancellations made 2 days prior to the start of the tour will not be refunded.

Passengers who are late or absent from the tour will not be refunded.

If the tour is affected by force majeure (e.g., typhoon warnings, heavy rain alerts, etc.), the organizer will determine whether to cancel the tour. A refund will be issued using the original payment method after deducting necessary expenses.

If you wish to reschedule your tour due to personal reasons, you must notify us in advance. You may reschedule once. After rescheduling, you will not be able to cancel or refund the tour.

Rescheduling within 3 days of the event will not be accepted and will be deemed a cancellation, subject to the cancellation policy outlined above.

If you cancel your participation during the event due to reasons beyond the organizer's control, no refund will be given.

Getting There

Please proceed to the meeting point on your own.

[Driving]
Take Provincial Highway 2C → Turn left at Gongliao Bridge → Turn right at Xueyuan Street → Turn right at Fuxing Street (Approximately 1-1.5 hours from Taipei)

[Public Transportation]
Take the train to Fulong Train Station, then take a taxi to the meeting point (Approximately 5 minutes. We recommend leaving your business card with the taxi driver for easy return transfers).
