Don't miss the Gokayama Gassho-style illuminations!

Besides the renowned Shirakawa-go illuminations, Gokayama's Gassho-style houses are also a World Heritage site! However, because the gassho-style houses there aren't as densely packed, Gokayama's Gassho-style houses aren't as famous as Shirakawa-go's. The sparsely populated village feels like a hidden gem, possessing a magical, secluded charm.

Limited Time Only! The 10th annual illumination of the Gokayama Snow Viewing Area, a World Heritage site, "Fantasy no Akari," will be visible only from February 15th to 17th. To commemorate the event, several special events are being held this year. Approximately 1,000 candles will be lit on the snow walls along the path from the parking lot to Suganuma Village, creating a dreamlike experience. Even walking through the thick snow will bring a sense of warmth!

This year, a snowman sculpture area has been set up, featuring a variety of adorable snowmen, to accompany visitors on their 10th anniversary illuminations. It's both adorable and heartwarming!

On the way to the village, the snow-covered cherry trees are illuminated with pink lights, creating a beautiful scene resembling "cherry blossoms in the snow." The light projections create a scene reminiscent of cherry blossoms in full bloom. Even if you can't see the actual cherry blossoms in full bloom in winter, the light projections offer a different kind of beauty!

You can also enjoy a colorful light show on the Gassho-zukuri roofs, as well as the traditional Gokayama Folk Dance (Kokiriko Matsuri, Sara Odori). But be warned: this performance is outdoors and may be canceled in case of inclement weather!

Finally, the 10th annual fireworks display will be held, allowing you to enjoy the perfect fusion of the World Heritage Suganuma Village and the dazzling fireworks!

Tour Pricing

The cost includes:

*Infant fee includes: bus seat only
*Transportation, accommodation, meals, attraction entrance fees, etc. as specified in the itinerary (tax included).

The cost does not include:

Transportation, accommodation, meals, attraction tickets, personal expenses (telephone calls, dry cleaning, beverages, etc.), and optional activities not listed in the itinerary.
*If a passenger withdraws from the tour for personal reasons, it will be deemed a waiver and no refund or compensation will be provided.

Cancellation Clauses

Cancellations made 7 days prior to the start of the trip will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made 4-6 days (including the 6th day) prior to the start of the trip will incur a 30% handling fee.

Cancellations made 1-3 days (including the 3rd day) prior to the start of the trip will not receive a refund.

Cancellations made on the start date of the trip will not receive a refund.

If the event is affected by force majeure (e.g., typhoon warnings, heavy rain alerts, etc.), the organizer will determine whether to cancel the event. A refund will be issued to the original payment method after deducting necessary expenses.

Rescheduling due to personal reasons will be deemed a cancellation and will be handled in accordance with the above cancellation policy.

If participation is terminated during the event due to reasons not attributable to the organizer, no refund will be given.
