In autumn, the mountains are blanketed in vibrant red maple leaves, creating a picturesque scene. ▲ Hsinchu Xiakaluo Trail

Spanning Wufeng and Jianshi Townships in Hsinchu County, the Xiakaluo Trail served as a vital transportation route for local tribes in the early days. During the Japanese colonial period, security roads were constructed, along with artillery batteries and police stations, many of which remain. The route passes through the upper reaches of the Dahan River, crossing the Touqian River and the catchment area of the Dahan River, forming the unique characteristics of the river valley source. In addition, the Xiakaluo Ancient Trail has many excellent maple viewing spots. Every year when the weather changes from warm to cold during the transition from autumn to winter, you can see the mountains covered with fiery red maple forests, making it a secret pilgrimage site for mountain hikers to enjoy the maple leaves.

The actual pickup time will be announced later. Please fill in the "meeting location" in your booking information for arrangement.

Vegetarians will primarily consume hot pot vegetables. Please understand that mountain food may be difficult to obtain.

The extent of the maple leaves on the Xiakaluo Trail is unpredictable due to climate change. Please note that the actual scenery at the time of departure is not guaranteed.

This two-day, one-night Xiakaluo Trail trip will be confirmed within three business days after the registration deadline, 14 days prior to departure. A notification will be sent via email, along with a list of equipment and precautions. If the group cannot be completed due to insufficient participants, rescheduling or a full refund are available.

If you have any questions about the itinerary before departure, please contact the mountain guide in the group's LINE group chat.

The mountain guide may make adjustments during the trip based on the group's availability, weather conditions, and other factors.

Please disclose any special or chronic medical conditions so that they can assess your suitability for the hike and avoid any unforeseen consequences.

Please pay attention to safety during the trip and follow the instructions of the tour leader or guide. Unauthorized risk-taking and leaving the group are strictly prohibited. Due to the inherent risk and unpredictability of outdoor activities, participants bear full responsibility for their own actions and consequences.

If force majeure occurs on the day of departure, the guide reserves the right to change the itinerary and refund the tour fee after deducting necessary expenses. No refunds or postponements will be granted if personal factors affect participation.

If a companion encounters a life-threatening situation during the trip, the entire team must retreat together without objection. Furthermore, since mountaineering teams are legally considered a "community of danger," the entire team must retreat together.
