▲ Sunrise Chase at Zhushan, Alishan

Before dawn, arrive at Alishan Station and board the Zhushan Line Sunrise Train to watch the sunrise over Zhushan, Alishan (approximately 25 minutes).
Zhushan Station is Taiwan's highest train station and a renowned spot for viewing the sunrise and sea of clouds. This indigenously constructed high-altitude train makes you feel like you're in the clouds, a true photographer's paradise. (Sunrise train departure times vary seasonally.)

Alishan's highest landmark, the Alpine Botanical Garden, offers a unique and tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle. Open alongside the six-star Ogasawara Observatory, it offers panoramic views of Taiwan's three major mountain ranges (the Central Mountain Range, the Yushan Mountain Range, and the Alishan Mountain Range). You can even clearly see the peak of Yushan, Taiwan's highest peak, and even see the "Jade Mountain Thistle," a plant featured on the 1,000-yuan bill. (The round trip takes approximately 2.5 hours.)

A breathtakingly beautiful trail resembling a fairyland, the Shuishan Giant Tree Trail stretches approximately 1.6 kilometers. The entrance is a five-minute walk from Zhaoping Station. Recently renovated, it's relatively untouched, creating a tranquil and ethereal experience. The trail's name, Shuishan Giant Tree, stems from the 2,700-year-old red cypress tree at its terminus. (Round trip takes approximately 1.5 hours)

This popular hiking trail in the Leye area winds along the Miyang River with a gentle slope. Rich in ecological resources and lined with dense bamboo forests, it rivals the bamboo forest path in Kyoto's Arashiyama. The beautiful and elegant Miyang Suspension Bridge stretches quietly over the creek valley, while the trail beckons from the other side, as if tree fairies and flower spirits might dance forth at any moment.

Located at an altitude of approximately 1,000 meters, Leye Tribe's topography and climate give the coffee trees here a unique Leye flavor. Leye Tribe offers a handcrafted coffee experience, where you roast the green beans, grind them, and brew them—all by hand, allowing you to customize your coffee's flavor. The aroma of coffee instantly brightens your mood.
