Before dawn, arrive at Alishan Station and board the Zhushan Line train to watch the Alishan sunrise (approximately 25 minutes). Zhushan Station is Taiwan's highest train station and a renowned spot for sunrise and sea of clouds viewing. A self-developed mountain train makes you feel like you're in the clouds, a true photographer's paradise. (Train departure times vary seasonally.)

This scenic trail, reminiscent of a fairyland, stretches approximately 1.6 kilometers. The entrance is a mere five-minute walk from Zhaoping Station. Recently renovated, it's relatively untouched, creating a tranquil and ethereal experience. The trail's name, Shuishan Giant Tree, stems from the 2,700-year-old sacred red cypress tree at its terminus. (Round trip, approximately 1.5 hours)

Alishan's highest landmark, the Alpine Botanical Garden, offers a unique and tranquil retreat, tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Opened in conjunction with the six-star Ogasawara Observatory, it offers panoramic views of Taiwan's three major mountain ranges (the Central Mountain Range, the Yushan Mountain Range, and the Alishan Mountain Range). You can also clearly see Yushan Peak, Taiwan's highest peak, and even see the "Yushan Thistle," a plant featured on the 1,000-yuan bill. (Round trip, approximately 2.5 hours)
