During the small squid season from May to September every year, depart from Qitou Wharf and head straight to the "real small squid fishing area"

Limited charter boats are available during the Fireworks Festival, departing from the South China Sea for night fishing and watching fireworks at sea.

During the summer months in Penghu, the most in-demand nighttime activity has been "Penghu night fishing for smallmouth bass!" Smallmouth bass are seasonal migratory species, and summer coincides with their return to Penghu waters. May to September is when they are most abundant, making this the perfect time to experience night fishing for them. Since smallmouth bass are phototactic, boats are equipped with dozens of fish-attracting lights to attract them. Lures are then used to hook them, and the captain will demonstrate traditional netting techniques. This Penghu night fishing experience allows visitors to better understand the fishermen's culinary techniques.

Activity process

The boat departs from Qitou Pier at 18:00 (please gather at the Qitou Visitor Center 20 minutes early)

Travel Notes

Children under 3 years old will only be charged the administrative insurance fee for participating in the Penghu night squid fishing activity. Children over 3 years old will be charged the same adult fee.

Please check in 20 minutes prior to departure at 6:00 PM. Late arrivals will not be accepted and no refunds will be given.

The Penghu night squid fishing activity's departure time and meeting point (Qitou or Chikan Pier) may be adjusted based on local tides, fishing conditions, and weather conditions. We will notify you of any changes. Please check your member inbox for your cooperation!

The Penghu night squid fishing boat is equipped with toilets, life jackets, safety rails, and a first aid kit to ensure safety.

Please follow the instructions of the boat crew and adhere to the timetable to protect the rights of the group.

The company reserves the right to cancel or change the Penghu night squid fishing activity due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather.

Cancellations made 4 days prior to the start of the trip will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made 1-3 days (including the 3rd day) prior to the start of the trip will not receive a refund.

Cancellations made on the day of the trip will not receive a refund.

During the following consecutive holidays: May 30-June 1, 2025, and October 4-6, 2025, no refunds will be given for cancellations made after booking.

If the event is affected by force majeure (e.g., typhoon warnings, heavy rain alerts, etc.), the organizer will determine whether to cancel the event and will refund the original payment method after deducting necessary expenses.

Rescheduling requests due to personal reasons will be deemed cancellations and will be handled in accordance with the cancellation policy above.

If participation is terminated due to reasons not attributable to the organizer, no refund will be given.
