Penghu Snorkeling Experience: Sending Postcards from an Undersea Mailbox

The Penghu snorkeling experience is limited to guests aged 7 to 55. Guests under 20 must be accompanied by a parent who has signed a written agreement.

The Penghu snorkeling experience is limited to those weighing under 100 kg.

Guests must provide their own transportation (motorcycle or car). You will meet at the base, complete the required information, and attend the land-based briefing. Your instructor will then lead you from the meeting point to the snorkeling location (the Hangwan Undersea Mailbox in Suogang).

If the Hangwan area, where the underwater mailbox is located, is too rough to dive, we will relocate to a more suitable area. Shanshui Harbor, for example, is less affected by wind and waves, but lacks an underwater mailbox. Instead, it boasts natural coral reefs, glowworm damselfish, pufferfish, and the chance to encounter sea turtles.

Exclusive waterproof postcards for the Penghu Undersea Mailbox are not included in the snorkeling experience fee. Additional postcards can be purchased on-site.
If you wish to write a postcard, please arrive in advance and inform the instructor of your intention to do so before the activity begins. This will prevent any delays to your experience and the well-being of other guests.

Postcards will be delivered to the underwater mailbox by the instructor, and the mailbox will remain visible from the surface. Guests wishing to remove their life jackets and deliver postcards themselves must possess a diver's license of AIDA 2 or higher, and the instructor must have assessed the guest's condition and approved the delivery.

Attire Recommendations: Males may wear beach shorts or other non-bulky, absorbent clothing. Jeans are strictly prohibited. Females may bring their own swimsuits or bikinis; short beach shorts will suffice. Ordinary clothing is not recommended as absorbing water can affect your activity and safety.

Floatation aids are provided for the Penghu snorkeling experience, allowing non-swimmers to enjoy the experience.

Contact lens wearers are recommended.

Women who are menstruating and are not feeling unwell or unwell are welcome to bring their own tampons.

People with colds, ear problems, pregnancy, asthma, diabetes, kidney disease, heart disease, high/low blood pressure, epilepsy, osteoporosis, or claustrophobia are not suitable for this Penghu diving experience.


In the event of bad weather or unavoidable safety factors, the company reserves the right to cancel or adjust the itinerary for the safety of participants. Please do not participate if you cannot accept the possibility of itinerary changes.
