Taitung's ultimate New Year's Eve activity – Chase the sunrise along the Mawuku Creek in Donghe! Paddle the calm Mawuku Creek in a SUP or canoe, weaving between the white limestone boulders known as "Emperor Rocks"! While enjoying breakfast, gaze towards the estuary as the long-awaited sun rises above the horizon. Take advantage of the dawn to paddle along the Mawuku Creek. This unforgettable and memorable experience is perfect for beginners, and why not enjoy a unique New Year's Day activity?

- Activity Introduction-
Mawuku Creek in Taitung connects Chenggong Town and Donghe Township. The stream is dotted with white limestone boulders, known as "Emperor Rocks," which contrast beautifully with the emerald green water. Their beauty and towering presence inspire awe at nature's uncanny craftsmanship.

The Donghe Bridge spans it, and behind it stands the beautifully shaped Old Donghe Bridge. Designed to accommodate the terrain, half is an arched structure, the other half supported by piers, cleverly preserving the boulders in the stream. The unique shape complements the boulders of distant mountains, nearby sea and streams. The nearby Taiyuan Tunnel and Dengxian Canyon are also worth a visit.

Travel Notes

[Booking Information]
． The age limit is 7 years and above. For safety and physical fitness reasons, each child aged 7-12 must be accompanied by a parent at all times.
． Sunrise is a natural phenomenon beyond our control, and viewing is not guaranteed. Please be aware of this before booking.
． Tandem kayaks are larger and more stable than single kayaks, making them recommended for beginners. Book in multiples of two. For odd numbers, please choose a single kayak.
． Due to the weight limit of 100 kg, please do not book if you weigh more than 100 kg. The configuration may be adjusted on-site. Please inform the instructor of any fees incurred. If you have any questions, please contact customer service before booking.

． Please be on time for the day. If you are more than 15 minutes late, you will depart without waiting and will not be refunded. Please note this.

The paddling area is the Mawuku River, not the ocean.

For the Taitung Donghe Sunrise Canoeing event, if there is a road blockage or force majeure on the day, the company reserves the right to change the event location or refund the fee for safety reasons.

During the Taitung Donghe Sunrise Canoeing event, please cooperate with the group. We will not be held responsible for any accidents caused by detaching from the group or ignoring warnings.

The event may be rescheduled due to weather conditions. If there are human factors, you must notify us one week in advance to reschedule or refund the fee, minus insurance and handling fees.

Cancellation Clauses

Cancellations made 31 days prior to the start of the trip will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made 4-30 days (including the 30th day) prior to the start of the trip will incur a 30% handling fee.

Cancellations made 1-3 days (including the 3rd day) prior to the start of the trip will not receive a refund.

Cancellations made on the day of the trip will not receive a refund.

If the event is affected by force majeure (e.g., typhoon warnings, heavy rain alerts, etc.), the organizer will determine whether to cancel the event. A refund will be issued to the original payment method after deducting necessary expenses.

Rescheduling requests due to personal reasons will be deemed cancellations and will be handled in accordance with the cancellation policy outlined above.

If participation in the event is terminated due to reasons not attributable to the organizer, no refund will be given.
