Tour Overview
Asahidake, Hokkaido's highest peak, stands at 2,291 meters. The towering peaks and ridges seem unreachable. But a 10-minute ride on the Daisetsuzan Asahidake Ropeway transforms the misty distant scenery into a breathtaking vista before your eyes! The Daisetsuzan Asahidake Ropeway runs from the base of Asahidake (1,100 meters) to the mid-mountain (1,600 meters). After getting off the cable car, take a leisurely stroll along the trails. Mount Asahidake is shrouded in sulfurous smoke, and offers unique scenery in each season. Scenes of beauty come into view, leaving you mesmerized. In spring, the remaining snow adorns the mountaintops, while water plantains and Ezo goldenrods compete to bloom. Various small animals gradually wake up to welcome visitors. In summer, a hundred flowers bloom, creating a gorgeous canvas of green, pink, and yellow. Take a deep breath, and the fragrance in the air will instantly make you feel refreshed. In autumn, the green of the pine trees and the crimson of the autumn leaves blanket the landscape, creating a vibrant contrast that feels like a dream. In winter, Mount Asahidake transforms into a world of silver, its peaks and valleys awash in a blanket of white. Visitors can also admire natural wonders like "fog ice" and "wind ripples." Don't miss this magnificent scenery when visiting Hokkaido!
