- About Attractions | Canberra Day Tour -

▲ Cockington Green Gardens

Lilliput is the private garden of the British Carlton family, a popular attraction in Canberra. The Carltons, who had lived in Australia for a long time and yearned for their homeland, decided to build their own estate, recreating British and international landmarks at a 12:1 scale. Over time, they added new exhibits, eventually creating a separate international exhibition area featuring miniature versions of world-renowned buildings, creating a microcosmic park-like experience.

▲Lake Burley Griffin
Lake Burley Griffin, located in the geographical center of Canberra, Australia's capital, is a man-made lake and dam. Its name comes from the architect who designed it, Walter Burley Griffin. Following Griffin's vision, many important institutions, such as the High Court, the National University, the National Library, and the National Museum, have been built around the lake. The lake also serves as a venue for nearby activities and public recreation.

▲The National Capital Exhibition
Located in Griffin Park, it offers free admission and multilingual guided tours. It showcases and explains the history, planning, and design of Canberra, Australia's capital.

▲The Royal Australian Mint
Opened in 1965, the Royal Australian Mint not only produces Australian currency, but also commissions the mint to produce currency for neighboring Asia-Pacific countries such as Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Tonga, Samoa, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Israel. Visitors can peek into the Royal Australian Mint's production process through transparent glass windows—a truly unique experience!

▲ Diplomatic Embassies
In Australia's Diplomatic Embassies, all of Australia's embassies are gathered together. While it's called an embassy district, it's truly vast, and exploring it on foot could easily take a day. Each embassy here embodies its own unique cultural identity, creating the illusion of entering a small, international nation.

▲ New Parliament House
One of the most expensive and costly buildings in the Southern Hemisphere, Australia's Parliament House was opened in 1988 by Queen Elizabeth II. Its main structure, designed like a boomerang, is crowned by a massive 81-meter-long flagpole. The roof, a gentle slope covered in lawn, represents the summit of Parliament Hill. Visitors can step onto the roof directly from outside the building, symbolizing the democratic principle of "people first."

▲War Memorial
The War Memorial in Canberra, Australia's capital, is a national memorial dedicated to all British Commonwealth military personnel and supporting organizations who died or served in the Australian War. It opened to the public in 1941 and is considered one of the most important world monuments of its kind.
