Travel Notes

The Shitiping Bay whale and dolphin watching cruise lasts approximately 3 hours (including the pre-trip briefing). Please check in 20 minutes early.

Children under 12 must be accompanied by a family member or friend to board the boat.

You must present your ID to board the Shitiping Bay whale and dolphin watching cruise (children under 12 should bring their health insurance card; foreigners should bring their passport).

For those who are prone to seasickness, it is recommended that you take seasickness medication one hour before departure. Do not overeat before departure and do not drink alcohol. Alcohol is strictly prohibited on board.

Please follow the instructions of the captain and crew and wear a life jacket.

Hualien Shitiping Bay is rich in cetaceans and dolphins, with a probability of encountering them exceeding 90%, making it the most popular spot for whale and dolphin watching in Taiwan. If you do not see any whales or dolphins, you will receive a replacement ticket for any time of day or for any person. The next time you return for whale watching, you will only need to pay a $300 insurance premium per person.

- Pre-departure instructions and contact information for the Shitiping Bay whale and dolphin watching tour will be announced before departure; please check your member inbox.
- Please be punctual on the day of the Shitiping Bay whale and dolphin watching tour. No refunds will be given if you are unable to meet up or are separated from the group due to personal reasons.
- Tour Schedule: If the tour cannot be completed due to insufficient number of participants, we will notify you in advance to reschedule or refund your full tour fee.

Cancellation Clauses

Cancellations made 7 days prior to the start of the trip will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made 4-6 days (including the 6th day) prior to the start of the trip will incur a 30% handling fee.

Cancellations made 1-3 days (including the 3rd day) prior to the start of the trip will not receive a refund.

Cancellations made on the start date of the trip will not receive a refund.

If the event is affected by force majeure (e.g., typhoon warnings, heavy rain alerts, etc.), the organizer will determine whether to cancel the event. A refund will be issued to the original payment method after deducting necessary expenses.

Rescheduling due to personal reasons will be deemed a cancellation and will be handled in accordance with the above cancellation policy.

If participation is terminated during the event due to reasons not attributable to the organizer, no refund will be given.
