Tour Overview

Visit five temples and learn about the stories and legends of the Changhua immigrant deities.

Learn how to make traditional cakes - Feng Pian Gao, and understand sacrificial customs.

Each person is provided with a wireless headset to provide a comfortable tour experience.

Changhua City is home to numerous immigrant temples, each carrying a rich tapestry of stories. From the stories of the deities in these temples, to the functions of their respective hometown associations and their subsequent transformations in Taiwan, you can also experience traditional pastry making and learn about various temple rituals. Travel back 300 years and explore Changhua in the footsteps of our ancestors.

The immigrants who arrived in Changhua established their lives, bringing not only food but also spiritual beliefs. Consequently, within the small city of Changhua, there are numerous temples dedicated to these different immigrants. These temples, with their deities, carry stories of their native beliefs, and their spaces are filled with diverse functions, including hometown associations, religious ceremonies, and early market districts. These temples embody the very essence of Changhua's earliest neighborhoods.

Visit five immigrant temples (Zhang, Quan, Chao, Fu, and Tingzhou) to learn about the stories of their native beliefs, the functions of their architecture, and the various changes they experienced after arriving in Taiwan. This opens up a foundational understanding of Changhua's religious history, and also allows us to better understand the feelings of the people of Changhua City who came here and lived together over two hundred years ago.
