Located amidst the tea plantations of Leye Village in Alishan Township, YUYUPAS covers approximately two hectares and is surrounded by beautiful scenery. It features high-altitude tea and coffee, a tribal factory, local snacks, and the Kuba Performance Center, a symbolic center of the Tsou indigenous faith and a gathering place. The internationally renowned Moda No Theater, featuring regular performances of traditional Alishan Tsou dance, is a must-see.

▲ Catch the Alishan Sunrise at Zhushan Sunrise Tower

Before dawn, head to Alishan Station to board the Zhushan Line train to watch the Alishan sunrise (approximately 25 minutes).
Zhushan Station is Taiwan's highest train station and a renowned spot for viewing the sunrise and sea of clouds. The indigenous train, built by Taiwanese people, makes you feel like you're in the clouds, a true photographer's paradise. (Train departure times vary seasonally.)

This scenic trail, reminiscent of a fairyland, stretches approximately 1.6 kilometers. The entrance is a five-minute walk from Zhaoping Station. Recently renovated, it's relatively untouched, creating a tranquil and ethereal experience. The trail's name, "Shuishan Giant Tree," stems from the 2,700-year-old sacred red cypress tree at its terminus. (The round trip takes approximately 1.5 hours.)

The alpine botanical garden, the highest landmark in Alishan, offers a unique and tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle. In conjunction with the six-star Ogasawara Observatory, you can take in panoramic views of Taiwan's three major mountain ranges: the Central Mountain Range, the Yushan Mountain Range, and the Alishan Mountain Range.
