Yellowknife is located in Canada's Northwest Territories.
Near Alaska, in the United States, it transforms into a prime spot for viewing the aurora borealis in winter.
Yellowknife's unique location places it squarely within the Aurora Borealis oval.
It's known as Canada's Aurora Capital, and the chances of seeing the lights are so high that it's definitely worth the trip.
Besides enjoying the aurora viewing at night, you can also enjoy ice fishing or dog sledding in the morning.
You'll definitely return home with a rewarding experience.
Day 1
◎ Fly to Yellowknife (arrival at Yellowknife Airport recommended before 2:00 PM)
◎ City Tour
Take a bus tour of the city's Indigenous culture, visiting the Prince of Wales Museum, the Visitor Centre, and the historic Indigenous settlements. The tour will pass by the Canadian Armed Forces Headquarters, the RCMP Headquarters, the City Hall, and residential areas. A scenic drive through the city center and Old Town will take you to Pilot Monument, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Yellowknife and Old Town. Aurora Viewing - Aurora Station
Luxury cabins nestled in the wilderness are equipped with fireplaces and flush toilets. Hot soup, snacks, and tea are provided for guests to relax and escape the cold. The most unique feature is the access to the top of the cabin, where stargazing lounge chairs and expansive views offer the perfect vantage point for viewing the aurora. There are also traditional Aboriginal tipis (tipí) outside the cabin for photo opportunities.

Day 2
This tour includes ice fishing and dog sledding, which will be conducted during the day on the second or third day (depending on the itinerary). Guests are welcome to participate in optional activities. Please inquire with your tour guide for details. The itinerary includes: Ice Fishing
A 4-hour fishing trip on Great Slave Lake: A warm, half-hour ride in a car takes you to a comfortable fishing lodge, where you can fish through several feet of ice. Alternatively, you can fish individually in a hole in the ice. Whether you catch a big fish depends on your luck. You'll also get to watch a demonstration of how to use a fishing net by an Indigenous people and enjoy a simple lunch at the island lodge.

No license plate is required for snowmobile riding. Experienced instructors will guide you and you'll learn instantly. Ride through the icy lake and trees, feeling the breath of nature and experiencing unparalleled exhilaration.
Aurora Viewing - Aboriginal Village: Located on the Great Slave Lake within the Aboriginal reserve, approximately 25 minutes' walk to the cabins on the other side, you can grill fish over a fire in a traditional Aboriginal tipi and savor delicious local fish. Hot beverages are provided in the cabins, allowing guests to relax and escape the cold.
