[Validity]
◎ Use any 5 days within 14 days of activation (5-day Flex Pass) to enjoy unlimited travel on all JR East lines covered by the JR East Pass (Tohoku Area). In addition to the Airport Express from Narita or Haneda Airport to the Tokyo metropolitan area and all lines within the Tokyo metropolitan area, you also get unlimited travel on Shinkansen and limited express trains to Aomori and Sendai.
The JR EAST PASS (Tohoku Area) offers unlimited rides on the following limited express, rapid, and local trains, including Shinkansen, within the area of validity: all JR East lines (including BRT), all Izu Kyuko lines, all Ao-no-Mori Railway lines, all IGR Iwate Galaxy Railway lines, all Tokyo Monorail lines, and all Sendai Airport Railroad lines. Reserved seats in ordinary express cars on intersecting JR East and Tobu Railway lines are also available: the Nikko, SPACIA Nikko, Kinugawa, and SPACIA Kinugawa. Local trains (including rapid trains) between Tobu Railway Shimo-Imaichi and Tobu Nikko, and between Tobu Railway Shimo-Imaichi and Kinugawa Onsen are also available. Only express trains connecting directly with Tobu Railways are available between Kurihashi and Shimo-Imaichi. ◎ Starting June 1, 2018, present the JR East Pass (Tohoku, Nagano-Niigata) to ride JR buses within the applicable area.
- The JR East Pass (Tohoku) allows you to ride JR buses in the Tohoku and Kanto lines within the applicable area, and also travel to popular tourist destinations such as Oirase Gorge, Lake Towada, and Kusatsu Onsen.
- The JR East Pass (Nagano-Niigata) allows you to ride JR buses in the Kanto line within the applicable area.

◎ When using the JR East Pass (Nagano, Niigata area) within Tobu Railway lines, you cannot board or alight at a station other than a JR line.

◎ BRT stands for Bus Rapid Transit System.
◎ When using the JR EAST PASS (Tohoku Area) on Tobu Railway lines, you cannot board or alight at a station other than a JR line station.
◎ Since the Tokaido Shinkansen is not part of JR East, it cannot be used.
◎ GALA Yuzawa Station is only open from winter to spring.
◎ Some sections and trains are suspended due to the Great East Japan Earthquake and other disasters.

◎ Please note that this exchange voucher is an electronic ticket. Please print the details clearly and bring them to Japan. Before use, you must bring your passport and this exchange voucher to a designated JR East ticket office/customer service center to exchange for the JR EAST PASS. Exchange must be completed within three months of the issue date.
◎ The 5-Day Flex Pass can be used on any five days within 14 days of the issue date. (Example) Passholders with a pass activated on August 1st can use the pass on any five days during the validity period from August 1st to 14th. Each person can purchase only one pass per trip. (Multiple passes are available if the passes have different validity periods.) Existing passholders can purchase a new pass after the validity period expires.

◎ When traveling by train, please carry your passport for ticket inspection.
◎ Some JR East trains also operate on other companies' lines. Passengers traveling on these trains on non-JR East lines must pay the corresponding fares, calculated based on the actual distance traveled.
