Tour Overview

Equipped with a multilingual audio guide for passengers to listen to the introduction of attractions (available in Japanese, English, Chinese, and Korean)

A one-day tour of Lake Shikotsu, Japan's northernmost unfrozen lake, and the world-class Toyako Usuyama Geopark.

Visit Mount Usu, a spectacular active volcano

You can participate in the following paid tours at your own expense: take a glass sightseeing boat, soak in hot springs, visit the brown bear ranch

Hokkaido boasts not only its famous tulip fields, Hakodate's million-dollar night view, and Otaru's winter snowscape, but also Shikotsu-Toya National Park, known as the "Volcano Museum." Its diverse terrain, including volcanoes, hot springs, lakes, and forests, offers unique scenery in each season and is a beloved tourist destination.

Let our Fun Expert guide you through the stunning natural scenery of Shikotsu-Toya today!

First Stop: Lake Shikotsu
Lake Shikotsu is a volcanic depression lake (crater lake) formed approximately 40,000 years ago. Although only one-ninth the size of Japan's largest Lake Biwa, it ranks second in Japan in depth and water volume, and is renowned for its exceptional clarity. *Please explore Lake Shikotsu at your own leisure.

*Boat rides on the Shikotsu Lake sightseeing boat (glass-bottom boat) are at your own expense. The boat departs at 10:10 AM and lasts 30 minutes. (Separate fee)

Lake Shikotsu Sightseeing Boat (Glass-bottom boat scheduled to operate from April 15th to November 4th) is at your own expense. Present your scheduled sightseeing bus ticket stub for a discount.
Adults: 1,200 yen, Children: 600 yen (both at your own expense). *Ferry fares are subject to change.

*Lake Shikotsu Sightseeing Boat will operate as usual from April 15th to November 4th (scheduled). It will not operate from November 5th to November 18th, so boarding is not possible. Changes to the itinerary will be noted in the itinerary. (*No tours will be held from April 28th to May 6th.)

Second Stop: Mushroom Kingdom

Rest here. Mushroom Kingdom primarily sells home-grown mushrooms, but also sells over 300 varieties of fresh vegetables and processed foods. Please feel free to browse.

Stop 3: Toyako Manseikaku (Lunch and Free Tour) (85 minutes)

Lunch will include pork udon sukiyaki. Please note: Beverages with lunch are at your own expense. You can also use the hotel's large public baths for a fee (500 yen per adult, 250 yen for children, and free for preschoolers). A guest lounge is available for guests to relax and unwind. We recommend a stroll along the shores of Lake Toya. *Towels and bath towels can be rented for 300 yen at your own expense while soaking in the hot springs.

We do not offer vegetarian meals.

Stop 4: Usuyama Ropeway, Showa Shinzan Glass Museum, and Bear Ranch

Usuyama was formed by repeated eruptions of magma between 10,000 and 20,000 years ago. Volcanic activity continues to this day. From the mountaintop station, you can enjoy views of Showa Shinzan and Lake Toya. At the Showa Shinzan Bear Farm, visitors can admire a variety of brown bears (entrance fees are not included in the tour price. Show your sightseeing bus ticket for a 100 yen discount). You can experience feeding the bears with cookies or other treats. When they notice you holding treats, they might even stand up and wave.

Showa Shinzan Bear Farm offers discounts of 50 yen off a Toyako Wagyu beef croquette and 100 yen off a special milk soft serve ice cream at the ropeway station.

*When visiting the Showa Shinzan Glass Museum, present your sightseeing bus ticket to receive a unique postcard. Additionally, customers who purchase merchandise at the facility will receive a glass magnet with an animal-shaped rubber band. *One item is given to each purchase (not selectable).

There is a paved walking trail to the summit of Mt. Usu, but we recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes and clothing. The ropeway may be suspended due to strong winds or other inclement weather. In such cases, a souvenir from the Usu Ropeway Company will be provided instead. Please note that this portion of the tour fee will not be refunded.

Stop 5: SAIRO Observation Deck
From the observation deck, you can see famous sights such as Nakajima, Usu, and Showa Shinzan. In clear weather, you can see Lake Toya with Mount Yotei (Ezo Fuji) in the background, making it a popular spot for photographers. Comfortable walking shoes and clothing are recommended for the trails.

※The ropeway may be suspended due to strong winds or other inclement weather. In such cases, a souvenir from the Usu Ropeway Company will be provided instead. Present your regular sightseeing bus ticket at the ropeway boarding station to receive a 50 yen discount on a Toyako Red Bull croquette and a 100 yen discount on our original milk soft serve ice cream. - Disband at your choice of stops: Jozankei Onsen / Sapporo Park Hotel / Arrival at Hotel MyStays Premier Sapporo Park / Arrival at JASMAC Plaza Hotel / Susukino / Sapporo Clock Tower / Sapporo Station Terminal
