Shodoshima is the second largest island in the Seto Inland Sea of Shikoku, Japan, after Awaji Island. Its year-round spring-like climate makes it ideal for growing citrus fruits and is also the birthplace of the Japanese olive tree. Olives, abundant on the island, have become a renowned local specialty.

First Stop: Choshi Gorge Macaque Kingdom

Choshi Gorge Macaque Kingdom is home to nearly 500 species of wild macaques. These adorable macaques are always welcoming and charming visitors, captivating them with their exclamations of "so cute!"

Second Stop: Kankakei Summit

Years of erosion have shaped a vast expanse of unusually shaped rocks. Kankakei, considered one of Japan's three great valleys, offers a leisurely walking path. A ropeway, suspended between the steep cliffs, offers breathtaking views of the surrounding valley.

Stop 3: Twenty-Four Eyes Movie Village

This facility, repurposed from the set of the film "Twenty-Four Eyes," has been reopened to the public. One of its attractions is the opportunity to learn about the Japanese cityscapes of the Taisho and early Showa eras.

Stop 4: Olive Park

In Olive Park, a Greek windmill perched on a hillside evokes the feeling of being transported to the Aegean Sea.

The park displays equipment used in the past for olive oil extraction, and the modern, mechanical presses that replace manual labor. Get up close and you can even smell the delicate aroma of the olive oil.

In addition to olives, the park also features a herb garden with a variety of herbs and a charming general store, both well worth a visit!
This sundry shop served as a filming location for the movie "Kiki's Delivery Service." The interior features the movie's unique decor, making it a must-see for Hayao Miyazaki fans.

Guests wishing to visit the park must purchase their own admission tickets.

Guests staying on Shodoshima Island (excluding guests staying at the Oliven Resort Hotel Shodoshima)

Please meet at the Tonosho Port Island Sightseeing Bus Ticket Office by 9:30 AM at the latest.

Large luggage is not permitted on the bus. Please deposit your luggage in a coin-operated locker before joining the tour.

Twenty-Four Eyes Movie Village: Adults 750 yen / Children 350 yen

Twenty-Four Eyes Movie Village + Choshikei Park Ticket: Adults 970 yen / Children 470 yen

This bus is operated by a Japanese-speaking attendant. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the lack of multilingual audio guides.

For guests staying at the Oliven Resort Hotel Shodoshima, the Shodoshima Kotsu bus will pick you up at the hotel on its way to the Choshikei Monkey Kingdom from Tonosho Port. Please meet at the counter by 9:50 AM at the latest.

Tour Pricing

The cost does not include:

Entrance fee, lunch fee, and cable car fee.

Cancellation Clauses

Cancellations made 7 days prior to the start of the trip will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made 4-6 days (including the 6th day) prior to the start of the trip will incur a 30% handling fee.

Cancellations made 1-3 days (including the 3rd day) prior to the start of the trip will not receive a refund.

Cancellations made on the start date of the trip will not receive a refund.

If the event is affected by force majeure (e.g., typhoon warnings, heavy rain alerts, etc.), the organizer will determine whether to cancel the event. A refund will be issued to the original payment method after deducting necessary expenses.

Rescheduling due to personal reasons will be deemed a cancellation and will be handled in accordance with the above cancellation policy.

If participation is terminated during the event due to reasons not attributable to the organizer, no refund will be given.
