Tour Overview
With a JR Hokkaido Rail Pass, you can ride on JR Hokkaido limited express, rapid, local, and special trains, as well as JR Hokkaido buses within Saki City. You can choose from 3, 5, 7, or 10 days for unlimited rides on up to 4 days, allowing you to easily explore Hokkaido's key attractions without having to purchase tickets before each trip or worry about language barriers.

• Bus routes and temporary buses between Sapporo-Asahikawa, Sapporo-Monbetsu, Sapporo-Hiroo, Sapporo-Obihiro, Sapporo-Erimo, Shin-Sapporo-Atsubetsu Stadium, and JR Shiroishi Station and Sapporo Multi-Area Stadium are not available.
• Express bus routes between Sapporo and Otaru are only available on JR Hokkaido buses (Hokkaido Chuo Bus is not available).
Travel Notes
- The JR Hokkaido Rail Pass must be exchanged for a full-fledged pass at a designated JR location in Japan within three months of issue by presenting the exchange voucher and passport.
- 3-Day, 5-Day, and 7-Day passes require a specified start date when exchanged (this date is within one month of the exchange date).
- 4-Day Flexible Passes do not require a specified start date, but must be used on any four days within 10 days of the exchange date.
- If the expiration date is exceeded while traveling between two stations on a night train, the pass will be valid until the following day.
- Only ordinary carriages are accepted. If you wish to travel on limited express trains, reserved seat trains, or other trains requiring additional fares, you must pay a surcharge as instructed.
- Once used, the pass cannot be extended or refunded due to train suspensions, delays, or other reasons.
- The pass is for use only by the named individual and cannot be transferred to another person.
- Please be sure to bring your passport with you when traveling for ticket inspection. - Exchange vouchers or passes cannot be reissued if lost, stolen, or damaged. Please keep them in a safe place.
- Taiwanese tourists visiting Japan with a "short-term visitor" status.
- Japanese nationals are not eligible to purchase this pass.
