A legend on Penghu's Qimei Island tells of a Ming Dynasty pirate crisis in which seven women on the island committed suicide by jumping into a well to preserve their chastity. The island was named Qimei for this reason. When visiting Penghu's Qimei Island, a must-see attraction is the "Double Heart Stone Weir." This weir was designed by local residents to catch fish by exploiting the difference in sea level between high and low tide. Qimei Island also boasts a unique sea-eroded platform, shaped like a "Little Taiwan" that resembles the outline of mainland Taiwan.

On Penghu's Wang'an Island, you'll find the "Flower House Settlement," listed as one of the world's 100 most endangered cultural landscapes. This cluster of old houses, built from coral reefs, features stacked layers of distinctively carved gray-white granite, creating traditional Fujian-style architecture. Beneath the blue sky, this ancient charm, a touch of age, accentuates its unique elegance and grace. It's a hidden gem on the islands of Penghu's South Sea. While in Wang'an, you can also visit the Green Sea Turtle Conservation Center and learn about the adorable green sea turtles. Finally, don't miss Wang'an's famous specialty, popcorn balls, once a traditional wedding candy for Wangan residents, adding a touch of joy to your trip.

This tranquil, pristine, and mysterious island in Penghu's South Sea is perfect for those who enjoy a slower pace and want to unwind away from the crowds.

Penghu's typical basalt mountain landscape, surrounded by neatly arranged columnar basalt formations, is a magnificent sight, arguably the most spectacular in Penghu. It's known as the "Taiwanese version of Yellowstone National Park," and the view from the sea is truly breathtaking.

Travel Notes

For the Penghu South Sea Four Island Hopping Tour, children under 3 years old only pay the insurance fee; children 3 years and older are considered full-ticket passengers.

Please check in at the designated counter at the Visitor Center 20 minutes in advance. Late arrival will be considered a cancellation of the Penghu South Sea Island Hopping Tour.

The South Sea Island Hopping Tour's departure time may be adjusted due to sea and weather conditions. Notice will be given one day prior to departure.

[Island Hopping Duration]: Magong to Qimei takes approximately 90 minutes, and Qimei to Wangan takes approximately 30 minutes. If you are concerned about seasickness, it is strongly recommended that you take seasickness medication beforehand to avoid spoiling your trip.

[Island Stay Time]: Qimei Island approximately 90 minutes, Wangan Island approximately 90 minutes, and Hujing Island approximately 30 minutes. The above stay times are for reference only and are subject to change based on sea conditions.

After arriving on the Penghu Outer Islands of Qimei and Wangan, it's recommended to arrange for on-island transportation. You can choose between a tour bus or a scooter when booking. Those without a driver's license or those who are sun-shy can take the tour bus, which has fixed stops and cannot be adjusted. For more flexible and free-flowing travel, a scooter is recommended (maximum 2 passengers per scooter).

If you are an odd-numbered passenger and choose the "scooter" option, please note that you must select the "scooter (one person)" option when booking.

The stop on Hujing Island lasts approximately 45-60 minutes, depending on the duration of the cruise. You can explore the cat village on foot, or choose a different transportation option based on your needs.

For the Penghu South Sea Four Island Hopping Tour, if you do not purchase on-island transportation, please arrange it yourself based on availability. Last-minute purchases are not accepted. Pre-booking is recommended, especially during peak tourist season.

The return time may also be affected by factors such as the speed of the ship that day. The estimated arrival time at Magong Port is approximately 3:00 to 4:00 PM.

Since the Penghu South Sea Four Island Hopping itinerary requires stops on four islands, each with a relatively short duration. For travelers wishing to spend a longer period in Qimei or Wangan, we recommend signing up for the following: Penghu Two Island Hopping Tour

In the Penghu South Sea Island Hopping itinerary, visits to Hujing Island and Tongpan Island may be canceled due to poor sea conditions or weather for safety reasons. Thank you for your understanding.

Lunch is usually spent on Wangan Island; please arrange this at your own convenience.

The Penghu South Sea Four Island Hopping itinerary and duration are subject to actual sailing conditions on the day, and the ferry company reserves the right to make adjustments.

This four-island route requires a minimum of 30 people. If the number of people is insufficient, we will notify you to arrange an alternative Qimei & Wangan Island Hopping route. Please stay tuned for relevant information.

Cancellation Clauses

Cancellations made up to 4 days before the start of the trip will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made 2-3 days (including the 3rd day) before the start of the trip will incur a 30% handling fee.

Cancellations made up to 1 day (including the 1st day) before the start of the trip will not receive a refund.

Cancellations made on the day of the trip will not receive a refund.

If the event is affected by force majeure (e.g., typhoon warnings, heavy rain alerts, etc.), the organizer will determine whether to cancel the event. A refund will be issued to the original payment method after deducting necessary expenses.

Rescheduling requests due to personal reasons will be deemed cancellations and will be handled in accordance with the cancellation policy above.

If participation is terminated due to reasons not attributable to the organizer, no refund will be given.
