- About the Attractions | In-Depth Day Tour of the Venice of the East -

▲Damnoen Saduak Floating Market
When tourists think of traditional Thai culture, floating markets are undoubtedly the most iconic.

Damnoen Saduak is the most famous of these floating markets, especially after being used as a filming location in numerous movies (most notably "A Quiet Place," starring Nicolas Cage). At the floating market, watch the boatmen prepare rice noodle soup, grill meat, and sell daily necessities on their small, hand-rowed boats. Long, colorful wooden boats, laden with vibrant fruits, are slowly paddled by women wearing conical hats, sailing along the lush green waters. In the mornings, when the market is bustling, you can experience the rare sight of boat traffic!

▲Maeklong Railway Market
The train is coming, time to pack up!
The Railway Market is located next to Maklong Station, approximately 70 kilometers west of Bangkok, Thailand. Vendors sell vegetables on the operating railway. Just as a train whistle blows, a train slowly approaches in the distance. Vendors calmly pack up their stalls, retracting their shades and packing up their vegetables. This unique spectacle allows you to witness the market vendors effortlessly adapting to the train's arrival and departure, opening and closing their stalls. In that instant, after the train passes, they return all their wares to their original locations and resume their business, shouting and cheering, as if nothing had happened.

▲Taking a Train to Maeklong Railway Market
Have you ever been on a train where you can hang your head and hands out the window? Sit back on a shaky, slow train, passing salt pans, forests, villages, and markets, breathing in the rustic charm and feeling the gentle breeze! Unlike other tours where you simply stand by the tracks, waiting for the train to pass for 15 seconds, these expert sisters will take you directly aboard the train and experience the thrill of a ride straight into the wet market. Touch the hanging salted fish, flowers, and awnings, and then, as you enter the market, witness the unique spectacle of vendors rushing to pack up their stalls and the train's departure, packing up the vegetables. Only the most authentic experts can give you this double experience in one trip!

▲Ancient Catholic Church
This is the oldest German-style Catholic church in Thailand. Built in 1890 by French missionaries over a period of six years, it boasts exquisite carvings and ornamentation. Its stained glass windows tell the stories of its construction, as well as biblical events. It is the most important church for Catholics at the time and has been selected as one of the three most beautiful churches in Thailand. If you're lucky, you can even visit it when it's open!

▲Thai Dessert Museum
There are hundreds of Thai desserts, but seeing them in markets and street vendors without knowing what they are is one of the biggest challenges for Southeast Asian travelers. At the Dessert Museum, from desserts used in royal cuisine to those commonly found at street vendors today, we've gathered them all together, letting experts guide you through them one by one! Next time you see something at a market or street vendor, you'll never be so confused as to hesitate to buy it!

▲Experience the Charm of the Venice of the East with a Day Trip to the Maeklong River
Thailand is also known as the Venice of the East, and its floating houses are a popular destination for Europeans, Americans, and Chinese travelers! Water transportation has long been a staple of Thai life. While most visitors to Samut Songkhram simply enjoy a nighttime firefly-watching boat trip in Amphawa, the shimmering Maeklong River and the vibrant waterside scenery along its banks remain relatively unknown. The experts are committed to creating a unique and engaging experience, showcasing the traditional floating houses along the Maeklong River and immersing you in Thailand's natural beauty. Let them guide you through filming locations for Thai dramas and movies, visit royal palaces, and immerse you in the vibrant culture of Thailand!

▲Royal Art Park
Here are numerous works of art created by ancient Thai royalty. These works hold immense historical value, allowing future generations to witness the great artistic achievements of ancient Thailand. More importantly, they offer a glimpse into the connection between ancient traditional Thailand and the progressive world of modern Thailand. The museum features exhibits on the origins of traditional Thai massage, traditional Thai stilt houses, dance, mythology, art, and the wisdom of Thai life from the past. These include kitchens, toilets, bathrooms, living rooms, and artwork from the past. There's also a stunning botanical garden outdoors, perfect for a visit with friends of all ages!
