- About the Attractions | Ayutthaya Day Tour -

▲ Rama V's Bang Pa-In Palace

The 150-year-old Pa-In Palace, once the Thai royal family's former retreat, blends diverse Thai and Western influences. The sprawling grounds are surrounded by lush green lawns, clear lakes, and winding canals. Here, you'll find Gothic, Italian, and romantic Victorian architecture. A leisurely stroll through the grounds evokes the atmosphere of a European palace.

▲ Wat Mahathat

Built in 1374, it's one of Ayutthaya's oldest temples. Wat Mahathat's most famous attraction is the tree-root Buddha head at the entrance. The old tree roots entwine the Buddha head, which features closed eyes and a smile, creating a truly remarkable sight. Wat Mahathat's main tower is a Khmer-style pagoda. During the 1760 Thai-Burmese War, Burmese troops set it on fire to melt the gold inlaid on the Buddha statue. The temple is now in ruins, with broken walls, severed Buddha statues, and signs of looting scattered throughout.

▲ Ayutthaya Floating Market

In addition to a variety of Thai snacks, antiques, and clothing, the Ayutthaya Floating Market also features unique shops and traditional Thai dance performances. There's also an elephant park behind the market. Unlike Damnoen Saduak Floating Market or Amphawa, Ayutthaya Floating Market boasts quaint painted boats and intricately carved architecture. Cruise along the waterways, and the elegant, tranquil atmosphere offers a unique glimpse into Thailand's unique waterways.

▲ Traditional Thai Costume Experience
To satisfy lovers of exotic costumes, experts have specially arranged fun costume-sharing tours. Whether you're looking to transform into a graceful Thai princess, a nimble ancient porter, an elegant and refined boat singer, or couples seeking to share a sweet moment in traditional Thai wedding attire, there's even the elegant attire of a Thai noble marquis—all are available for a day of costume-sharing!

▲ Traditional Thai Transportation Experience
Taking on various local transportation is part of the fun of travel, and this day trip to Ayutthaya, Thailand, includes a fun ride on traditional Thai transportation.
