A must-see for authentic market lovers: Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, Amphawa Floating Market, and Maeklong Railway Market – a truly unique experience. At Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, explore the market on a traditional hand-rowed boat and experience the leisurely atmosphere of floating dwellings. Enjoy a surprise traditional Thai tea set at teatime, a refreshing departure from English-style afternoon tea. Visit the Temple in the Trees and Muay Thai Park, and finally, visit Amphawa Floating Market. Watch the lights dot the waterfront, and glide into the charming Firefly River on a traditional longtail boat, a perfect conclusion to your trip.

- About the Attraction | Amphawa Twin Floating Markets Day Trip -

▲ Damnoen Saduak Floating Market
When it comes to traditional Thai culture, floating markets are undoubtedly a key element for most tourists. Damnoen Saduak is the most famous of these floating markets, especially after being used as a filming location in numerous films (most notably "A Quiet Place," starring Nicolas Cage). At the floating market, watch the boatmen prepare rice noodle soup, grill meat, and sell daily necessities on small, hand-rowed boats. Long, colorful wooden boats, loaded with vibrant fruits, are slowly paddled by women wearing conical hats, navigating the lush green waterways. In the mornings, when the market is bustling, you can experience the scramble of boats, a rare experience elsewhere!

▲ Maeklong Railway Market
The train is coming, time to pack up! The railway market is located near Maklong Station, approximately 70 kilometers west of Bangkok, Thailand. Vendors sell vegetables on the operating railway. Just as a train whistle blows, a train slowly approaches in the distance. Vendors leisurely pack up their stalls, retracting their shades and packing up their vegetable stalls. Witness the unique spectacle of market vendors effortlessly folding and unpacking their stalls as trains arrive and depart. Then, just as the train passes, they return to their original locations and resume their business, shouting and clamoring, as if nothing had happened.

▲ Temple in the Tree
One of Thailand's ten most sacred temples, this unique Buddhist temple boasts a history of 200 to 300 years. Originally encircled by the roots of a Bodhi or Banyan tree, it was only discovered in 1967. King Taksin of the Third Dynasty of Thailand once made a wish before this Buddha statue during his campaign against the Burmese, resulting in a resounding victory. This temple's fame is immense, and it's also one of Thailand's ten most efficacious temples, attracting numerous visitors.

▲ Muay Thai Park
This park showcases the traditional Thai martial art of Muay Thai. Human-shaped statues illustrate various Muay Thai techniques. While you won't see the intense, cinematic action, this place offers a deeper understanding of the essence of Muay Thai.

▲ Amphawa Dusk Floating Market
The romantic Dusk Floating Market is open only on weekends. At dusk, the lights of the waterfront homes adorn the river, creating a beautiful atmosphere for a leisurely stroll through the floating market. Amphawa Dusk Floating Market is a favorite among Thai locals and a truly traditional Thai floating market.

▲ Firefly River
Taiwan's firefly season lasts only a few weeks, so catching a glimpse of them is a rare feat. However, in Thailand, Amphawa's fireflies sparkle year-round. Take a ride on a local longtail boat and glide gently through the beautiful river filled with fireflies, shimmering like the stars in the sky, creating unforgettable, romantic memories.
