Tour Overview

Conquer Northeast Asia's highest peak, Mount Yushan! Stay at Taiwan's five-star mountain lodge: Pai Yun Villa

[Difficulty: Popular 100 Peaks] Suitable for those with experience in mountaineering. Some sections have steep slopes.

If this is your first time climbing one of the 100 Great Mountains, we recommend joining the "Yushan Front Peak & Batongguan Ancient Trail Hiking Tour" to familiarize yourself with the low-oxygen environment and the uphill pace.
★ Worried about keeping up with the group? We recommend the "Yushan Hiking Small Package Tour," suitable for small groups of 2-6 people.

Yushan, the highest peak in Northeast Asia and a landmark international mountaineering destination! To reach its summit, depart from the Tatajia Trailhead, pass Menglu Pavilion, and admire the breathtaking beauty of whitewood forests and dramatic cliffs. Stay at the five-star Yushan Paiyun Villa for rest and preparation. Set off early the next morning, navigating steep scree slopes and narrow wind tunnels to reach the summit of Yushan, the No. 1 of the 100 Great Mountains. Experience the thrill of standing at nearly 4,000 meters! Professional mountain guides will lead the entire trip, assisting with mountain and park entry permits. Sleeping bags are provided, free of luggage and food, allowing you to focus on the challenging mountaineering adventure of a lifetime.

▲ Yushan Peak
Yushan is the first of Taiwan's Five Great Mountains. In winter, Yushan's peak is capped with snow, appearing as pristine and shimmering as white jade. Standing at 3,952 meters, Yushan Peak is not only the highest of the 100 Great Mountains but also the highest peak in East Asia. Reaching Yushan's peak is no easy task. Besides requiring both physical strength and willpower, the final stretch of scree and strong mountain winds make the climb even more challenging. However, once you've overcome these numerous challenges and reached the summit, the sense of accomplishment and emotion you feel will last a lifetime!

▲ Whitewood Forest
From the Tatajia trailhead to the "Whitewood Forest Viewing Platform," a 5-kilometer hike up the trail, you can see the majestic main peak. Along the zigzagging trail, you'll also see the scattered whitewood forests interspersed among the arrow bamboo groves. Due to a former forest fire, the remaining hemlock and fir trunks have bleached, creating a "whitewood forest landscape." This allows hikers to experience the damage caused by the past forest fires, and not only lament the relentless power of nature, but also encourages greater care and protection of the mountains.
