Located behind the Guanwu Management Station, the cedar boardwalk, known as the "Cloud Trail," stretches 846 meters. Its natural pavement and preservative wood plank paths create a series of terraces. Take in the magnificent beauty of the sacred ridgeline while enjoying the feeling of walking among the clouds. Guanwu is 2,000 meters above sea level, and the breathtaking beauty of the Guanwu sea of clouds is truly breathtaking. Walking amidst nature is truly refreshing, offering the perfect spot to gaze at the Guanwu Mountain scenery and feel the gentle mist.

The Cypress Mountain Giant Trees Trail is 4 kilometers long, starting at the 1.2-kilometer mark on the Leshan Forest Road and exiting at the 6-kilometer mark. The trail was originally a logging and timber transportation platform, so the slope along the way is gentle. At the 2.8-kilometer mark, there are five thousand-year-old red cypress trees. Enjoy a quiet conversation with one of the red cypress trees and listen as they share their life experiences through generations, as if you've stepped back in time.

[Free time. Recommended Trail A] Yunwu Trail & Guanwu Salamander Center, a total of 846 meters, is a gentle and easy hike. Lunch is recommended at the Visitor Center Café.

[Free time. Recommended Trail B] Hiyama Giant Trees Trail (6K in, 1.2K out. This trail requires some physical effort, so please consider your fitness level.) Lunch will be provided along the trail, so please bring your own light snacks and water.

15:00 Visit Zhang Xueliang's Former Residence (If it is closed on Monday, you can go to Qingquan Town or Shangping Old Street instead)

Travel Notes

[Renovation Notice] Due to the Yunwu Trail construction period (starting April 2025), the itinerary will be adjusted to walk from the Visitor Center to Guanwu Villa (downhill), then be picked up by vehicle at the Sansho Fish House, and then choose between the Forestry Administration Visitor Center or the Dalu Forest Trail.

Children (ages 3 and up) who occupy parking on this tour will be charged the same price as adults. Children under 3 are not included in parking and other activity fees, only insurance.

Alternative pick-up points include: No. 328, Section 1, Xinnan Road, Luzhu District, Taoyuan City (near Nankan Terry House) at 7:30 AM or Hsinchu High Speed Rail Station Exit 4 at 8:10 AM.

This Hsinchu Shei-Pa Guanwu Day Tour is a self-guided tour package, with driver and guide service throughout the tour, guided tours at designated locations, and free exploration of each attraction upon arrival.

This tour requires four people. If the number of participants is insufficient after the registration deadline, we will notify you three days prior to departure to reschedule or offer a full refund.

This tour is based on a shared vehicle. Seating is freely selected on-site; no pre-assigned parking is available. Please note that due to vehicle scheduling, pre-trip instructions and driver/guide contact information will be announced 1-2 days prior to departure. Please check your member inbox and pre-trip notifications.

Drivers/guides may adjust the itinerary and duration of the tour based on road conditions, events, or weather. Thank you for your understanding.

Please meet on time on the day of the tour. If you are separated from the group or cannot meet up, or fail to board the bus, or are dropped off mid-trip due to personal reasons, it will be deemed as a forfeit and no refund will be given.

Tour Pricing

The cost includes:

- Driver/guide services
- Insurance

The cost does not include:

- Lunch
- Any expenses not specified in this itinerary, personal expenses, or expenses incurred during the itinerary. A tip of $100 per person per day is recommended as a reward for the driver or guide (please give based on performance).

Cancellation Clauses

Cancellations made 41 days prior to the start of the trip will incur a 5% handling fee.

Cancellations made 31-40 days prior to the start of the trip will incur a 10% handling fee.

Cancellations made 21-30 days (including the 30th day) prior to the start of the trip will incur a 20% handling fee.

Cancellations made 2-20 days (including the 20th day) prior to the start of the trip will incur a 30% handling fee.

Cancellations made 1 day prior to the start of the trip will incur a 50% handling fee.

Cancellations made 2 days prior to the start of the trip will incur a 50% handling fee.

Cancellations made 2 days prior to the start of the trip will incur a 20% handling fee.

Cancellations made 1 day prior to the start of the trip will incur a 50% handling fee.

Refunds are not available on the start date of the trip.

If the event is affected by force majeure (e.g., typhoon warnings, heavy rain alerts, etc.), the organizer will determine whether to cancel the event. A refund will be issued to the original payment method after deducting necessary expenses.

Requests for rescheduling due to personal reasons will be deemed cancellations and will be handled in accordance with the cancellation policy outlined above.

If participation is terminated during the event due to reasons beyond the organizer's control, no refund will be given.
