Yilan's Guishan Island is Taiwan's only active volcanic island. Named after its resemblance to a floating turtle, it lies off the coast of Toucheng, Yilan County. Since ancient times, it has been a natural landmark of the Lanyang Plain, carrying the totemic symbol of "the spirit turtle guarding Yilan." The island boasts precipitous cliffs, unique underwater hot springs, sea caves, lakes, cold springs, unique cliff-dwelling plants, and a diverse marine ecosystem. Travel Notes

To participate in the Guishan Island whale watching tour, please check in at the on-site counter 30 minutes before departure (not the meeting time).

In case of large groups or unstable weather conditions, the Guishan Island whale watching boat schedule may be adjusted accordingly. Registered passengers are kindly requested to cooperate.

Please prepare your ID for customs inspection before departure. No refund will be given if you are unable to depart without your ID.

During the whale watching tour, passengers must wear life jackets at all times. When moving around, hold onto the handrails or the boat. Do not play, run, or climb on the railings or the roof of the boat. Do not hit the boat to prevent it from startling the cetaceans.

Do not throw any objects into the sea or feed any animals that may damage the marine environment. Please follow the instructions of the on-site staff.

If the boat cannot depart due to adverse weather or sea conditions, passengers will be notified in advance to reschedule or cancel the Guishan Island whale watching tour.

Pre-trip instructions and contact information will be announced before departure; please check your member inbox.

• Please meet on time on the day of the activity. No refunds will be given if a passenger is separated from the group or cannot meet up due to personal reasons.

• Activity Completion: If the group cannot be completed due to insufficient number of participants, you will be notified before departure to reschedule or receive a full refund.

Cancellation Clauses

Cancellations made 7 days prior to the start of the trip will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made 4-6 days (including the 6th day) prior to the start of the trip will incur a 30% handling fee.

Cancellations made 1-3 days (including the 3rd day) prior to the start of the trip will not receive a refund.

Cancellations made on the start date of the trip will not receive a refund.

If the event is affected by force majeure (e.g., typhoon warnings, heavy rain alerts, etc.), the organizer will determine whether to cancel the event. A refund will be issued to the original payment method after deducting necessary expenses.

Rescheduling due to personal reasons will be deemed a cancellation and will be handled in accordance with the above cancellation policy.

If participation is terminated during the event due to reasons not attributable to the organizer, no refund will be given.
