Guishan Island Scenic Spots Introduction

As early as the Qing Dynasty, Guishan Island was renowned for its eight wonders: "Turtle Mountain Rising Sun," "Turtle Island Smoke," "Turtle Rock Cliff," "Turtle Egg Spectacle," "Divine Turtle Wagging its Tail," "Divine Turtle Wearing a Hat," "Spectacle of Stalactites in Spectacle Cave," and "Undersea Hot Springs Gushing Upward." "Turtle Mountain Rising Sun" is particularly renowned as the most scenic of Lanyang's Eight Scenic Spots. Guishan Island boasts two lakes, one at the tail end of the ridge and the other at the head end. Gui'er Lake is relatively small, approximately 200 square meters, while Guiwei Pond is now open to visitors by the Scenic Area Administration. It is planned, developed, and managed by the Northeast Corner Administration. Due to its unique, rich, and pristine ecological resources, it has been designated a marine ecological park. In addition to the island's hot springs, sulfur, lakes, and unique cliff plants, the surrounding marine ecosystem is a true marine museum. The unique landscape of Guishan Island changes dramatically depending on the location, climate, and tide, contributing to its captivating charm.
