Known as a "paradise on earth," the park boasts pristine forests, including red cypress, hinoki cypress, and hemlock. It was once ranked alongside Alishan and Baxianshan as one of Taiwan's three largest forests. With its dramatic elevation differences and subtropical to arctic climate, the park boasts a diverse range of forest types, creating a unique landscape with each season. From April to September, the purple maple leaves change color, creating a breathtaking spectacle of crimson.

Rated one of CNN's "28 Most Beautiful Trails in the World," this 0.9-kilometer trail, formerly part of the Taipingshan "Jianqing Line" timber railway, boasts beautiful scenery and retains the unique character of a mountain railway. The winding path along the railway path creates a nostalgic trail where you can admire the mountains and clouds, explore nature, and reminisce about the past.

Located behind Taipingshan Villa, this is Taiwan's most accessible natural cypress forest, lined with perennially red purple-leaf maples. Climb the steps along the Red Leaf Trail to the trailhead. The trail is 0.6 kilometers long and takes about an hour to walk. This gentle, easy-to-walk trail, at an elevation of 2,000 meters, is the perfect spot for a summer forest bath. The trail winds through a forest of towering, ancient red cypress and hinoki cypress trees. Along the way, the fallen and sometimes toppled giant trees create a breathtaking display of tree holes, their intertwined roots and various shapes awe-inspiring.

Sourced from geothermal sources 2,200 meters below, the spring water is clear, colorless, and odorless, leaving a smooth, gentle sensation. This slightly alkaline sodium bicarbonate mixture is known as the "Beauty Hot Spring," known for its soothing properties and beautifying properties. Hot spring facilities include an open-air spa pool, nude bathing areas for men and women, and a family hot spring area. The open-air spa pool features a creative stone bath created by carving holes into large stream rocks carried by typhoons. The nude bathing areas for men and women and the family hot spring area allow visitors to enjoy the phytoncides and warm spring waters of the broadleaf forest amidst the tranquility of the lush green valley. In addition, this area is equipped with two egg-boiling tanks, which emit boiling hot springs all year round, allowing tourists to DIY boil eggs. The hot spring eggs have a fragrant, soft and tender texture and emit a unique hot spring fragrance, which is also a great enjoyment after taking a bath!
