The Yushan Peaks include 11 peaks: Yushan Main Peak, Front Peak, East Peak, West Peak, South Peak, North Peak, North North Peak, Lushan, East Xiaonan Mountain, Xiaonan Mountain, and South Yushan. They are arranged in a double cross pattern with Yushan Main Peak at the center. With the exception of North North Peak and Xiaonan Mountain, the others are all famous peaks.
Yushan Route Top 1. Yushan Main Peak
Yushan Main Peak is located in Xinyi Township, Nantou County. Although Yushan's main peak, at 3,952 meters, is Taiwan's highest peak, the well-maintained trails and terrain are pristine, and the Paiyun Mountain Lodge offers accommodation, making it a relatively accessible hike, making it a pleasant destination even for beginners.

Yushan North Peak is a peak in Taiwan's Yushan Mountain Range. It's listed as one of the 100 Greatest Peaks on the NT$1,000 bill, with an elevation of 3,858 meters. However, climbing Yushan's North Peak has more scree slopes and requires more stamina than climbing Yushan's main peak. You can also walk to the North Peak Weather Station along the way.

Yushan climbers typically stay at Paiyun Villa, which serves as a stopover on their way to the summit. The villa is located 8.5 kilometers from the Yushan Trail and 2.4 kilometers from the main peak of Yushan.
