【Children Policy】
11. Children and Pricing
Children are welcome at J Youai House. Children aged 6 and above are charged as adults. If you are traveling with children under 6 years old, please inform us before booking so we can discuss the suitability of the space with you.
As J Youai House preserves the layered layout of a traditional Tainan townhouse and includes staircases, terraces, a rooftop platform, and glass railings, we will provide safety information and photos before check-in to help parents evaluate whether the space is suitable.
12. Child Safety and Guardian Responsibility
Children must be supervised by a parent or legal guardian at all times during the stay. A guardian must sign a consent form at check-in and agree to take responsibility for the child’s safety. If any facilities, equipment, furniture, or amenities are damaged due to improper use, compensation will be charged based on the actual damage.
If your child is very active or tends to run, climb, or jump indoors, please carefully consider whether the space is suitable before booking, or contact us for more details.
【Facilities and Extra Guests】
13. Entertainment Facilities
There is no regular television in the house. A projector, screen, and Netflix account are provided for guests to enjoy movies, conversations, and relaxing time together.
14. Staircases and Layout
A luggage area is available on the first floor. The house uses traditional terrazzo staircases, preserving the texture and character of an old Tainan townhouse. Please watch your step when going up and down the stairs. If you are traveling with elderly guests, young children, or guests with limited mobility, please contact us before booking to confirm whether the layout is suitable.
15. Extra Guest Policy
J Youai House is most comfortable for 6 guests. If you need to add guests, the maximum occupancy is 8 guests. Extra bedding will be provided for the 7th and 8th guests. Extra guests must be registered before check-in and the additional fee must be confirmed in advance. On-site last-minute extra guests are not accepted.
【Commercial Use】
16. Commercial Use Policy
J Youai House is primarily a lodging space. Any commercial use, including photography, filming, livestreaming, product placement, brand collaboration, or promotional activities, must be requested and approved in advance.
Unauthorized commercial use will be charged one day’s room rate, calculated based on the official 6-person private-house rate. Cancellation terms will follow the domestic accommodation contract regulations or the original booking platform policy.
【Pet Policy】
17. No Pets
J Youai House is not a pet-friendly accommodation. Pets are not allowed anywhere on the property, including indoor areas, shared spaces, terraces, and the rooftop platform.
If a guest arrives with a pet, J Youai House reserves the right to cancel the stay without refund. Please read and follow this policy carefully to avoid affecting your travel plans and booking rights.
18. Undeclared Pets
If an undeclared pet is found after check-in, the following fees may be charged depending on the situation:
1. Operational compensation fee: In addition to the original booking fee, one night of the official 6-person house rate will be charged as compensation for the property being unable to resell the space.
2. Deep cleaning fee: If the pet enters indoor or shared spaces, professional cleaning will be arranged, and the full cost will be charged to the guest.
3. Damage compensation: If the pet causes damage to facilities, furniture, equipment, or amenities, the guest will be responsible for the full cost of repair or replacement.
